This Easter weekend has been Exceptionally busy in all our shops as we have not just had the first of the New Season Lamb in the shops but with the weather been so hot we have also been busy preparing all the BBQ favourites from kebabs to burgers and lots and lots of our fantastic sausages(All homemade of course!)
It was a great pleasure to be asked to judge the Spring Lambs at WFAM Spring Show & Sale were I judged the Champion Pen to be from Mr Lord from Hessay on the outskirts of York.there was a great show of lambs all selling away well.
The weekend was spoiled by these terrible fires on the moors above Ilkley, we could see the smoke drifting towards the town as we worked in the shop on Saturday afternoon its times like these that you take stock and realise what a brilliant job our local firefighters do some of which are just part time and have regular jobs in the local towns.
